Bluejacket Family Communication
March 20, 2025

Dear Bluejacket Families,
As we step into April, there’s a renewed sense of energy and excitement across our schools. Spring is a season of growth, support, celebration, and planning for what’s ahead—and that spirit is on full display throughout Cambridge-Isanti Schools.
This month, we proudly welcomed the Bluejacket Class of 2038 through Kindergarten Discovery events, as young learners and their families begin the next chapter in their journey with us! At the same time, we’re beginning to celebrate the Class of 2025. Our seniors are preparing to graduate and take the next step in their futures—many of them supported by our community through record-breaking Dollars for Scholars scholarship awards. (This year, they will provide almost $248,000 to Bluejacket seniors!) It’s a powerful reminder of how a Bluejacket story begins and how strong community partnerships help shape every step along the way.
Looking ahead, we invite you to join the Bluejacket Education Foundation for this year’s Future Fest planned for April 25. This fun and meaningful event raises funds for innovative learning experiences and enrichment opportunities across all of our schools. We are so thankful for the Bluejacket Education Foundation and their mission to fund educator grants that directly benefit our students!
Finally, our Community Facility Task Force—made up of 59 community members—is putting the final touches on a long-range facilities proposal that will help shape the future of our district. It will be brought to the School Board in May. This has been important and exciting work and we are so thankful for the countless hours and energy that these volunteers have contributed to our District.
Together, we continue to move forward with pride and purpose. In accordance with our mission, we are working to partner with our community to Educate, Empower, and Inspire every student every day, and are so appreciative of the support we receive from our families.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Bluejacket community and GO BIG BLUE!
Nate Rudolph

Celebrating our Hardworking Bluejacket Staff!
This month, we celebrate the incredible people who help make our schools and programs welcoming, engaging, and inspiring. Next week we will celebrate our enthusiastic administrative professionals, whose dedication keeps things running smoothly while also building strong connections with students, families, and staff. Their care, creativity, and behind-the-scenes coordination make a lasting difference every day.
We also recognize the outstanding contributions of our early childhood educators during the Week of the Young Child, as well as our occupational therapists during OT Month. These professionals support our youngest learners and those navigating unique challenges, helping each child grow with confidence and joy. Similarly, during Autism Acceptance Month, we honor our staff who create inclusive, student-centered learning spaces that celebrate neurodiversity and ensure every learner feels seen and supported.
In our schools, stories come to life thanks to the work of our librarians, media specialists, and classroom teachers. April’s School Library Month and International Children’s Book Day remind us of the lifelong impact of reading—and of the staff who spark curiosity, empathy, and imagination in every book they share. We’re also grateful for the consistent and compassionate care of our Adventure Center staff team and paraprofessionals, who support students across settings with patience, dedication, and ongoing support and engagement.
As we look ahead to Teacher Appreciation Week, School Lunch Hero Week, and beyond, let’s continue to show gratitude to those who lead, teach, support, feed, and uplift our students—including our assistant principals and the many volunteers who give their time to strengthen our school communities. We are incredibly fortunate to have hundreds of dedicated volunteers who collectively donate thousands of hours to support our learners, schools, and programs. Whether they’re reading with students, helping in classrooms, organizing events, or assisting at school activities, their presence creates a sense of belonging and joy that benefits everyone. Together, this remarkable team helps our Bluejackets thrive. A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you!
It’s Time to Enroll in School!
Preschool
We believe lifelong learning begins at birth, and many skills needed for school and life are learned well before the age of six. Cambridge-Isanti Preschool offers educational experiences that enhance the cognitive, literacy, emotional, social, and physical development of children ages three to five years. We use monthly unit themes to spark children's interest and connect different learning areas and lessons.
Our caring preschool staff are excited to partner with you as your child experiences the joy of learning. Our goal is to help children develop the foundational skills, and enjoyment of school that they can carry with them into kindergarten and beyond.
Classes are available with flexible options of 2, 3, or 5 days per week, in both full-day and half-day schedules. For more details, visit https://earlychildhood.c-ischools.org/preschool.
Kindergarten
It’s time to Enroll in Kindergarten for Fall 2025! We know it might feel like the school year is still far off, but now is actually the perfect time to get your child enrolled! Early enrollment helps us make sure everything is ready for a smooth first day—both for your student and for our teachers as we plan class sizes and staffing.
