Good Evening K9s!
What a busy and exciting week we’ve had! We kicked things off on Tuesday with our Curriculum Night, and it was truly special to open our doors and welcome families into our building. Our teachers did an outstanding job presenting the curriculum and sharing insights about their classrooms. A big shout out to our hardworking K9 unit students who helped set up the gym for the event—they did an amazing job making sure everything was ready for our families!
Throughout the week, our students also tackled their iReady assessments. They had the opportunity to demonstrate their PRIDE, especially through determination and maintaining high expectations. We’re so proud of their efforts!
We were also honored to host a special guest, Assistant Regional Superintendent Dr. John Sparlin from the Will County Regional Office of Education. Dr. Sparlin visited our kindergarten and first-grade students, read to them, and generously donated a book to our school library—a wonderful addition that will be enjoyed by many.
As the week progressed, we conducted our first bus evacuation drill to ensure our students are prepared and safe. We then wrapped up the week on a high note with a fun and energetic PoP assembly launch party, celebrating our school spirit and community.
It’s been a week full of learning, teamwork, and school pride!
Please remember that there is no school on Monday due to Labor Day weekend. Enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll see everyone back on Tuesday!
