A Note from Dr. Brown
Greetings Everyone!
It’s been a great week here at Woodward Mill Elementary School! Teaching and Learning is in full effect. :-)
Please be sure and check our calendar! We have some great things coming up for our Cubs! Also please remember that attendance is very important. Please ensure that your child is here daily (unless ill) and on time. When our cubs are absent, tardy, or checked out frequently, they miss valuable instructional time. Thank you for your support.
Gentle reminder that school hours are:
Student Arrival: 7:45AM-8:15AM
Tardy Bell: 8:15AM
Dismissal Bell: 2:40PM
Best Regards and have a great weekend!
Dr. Sonya Brown

Spotlight on SEL Picture Books
Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes
Chrysanthemum adores her name. Why wouldn’t she? Her parents chose the name especially for her. When she finally gets to go to school, though, the experience isn’t all that she’d hoped for. Her peers are teasing her because of her beautiful and unique name. This story focuses on how to handle adversity and respect the differences of others.
