Principal Message - Kanika A. Burks
Good Evening MCP: Lola Rowe North Families,
It is Declaration of Excellence (DOE)Week at MCP!! During this week, each MCP campus takes time to reflect on the meaning and importance of the DOE while participating in fun challenges throughout the day. Yesterday, the Michigan Wolverines (6th grade Mr. Greenheck and Ms. Moss' homeroom) recited the Declaration of Excellence during our All School Assembly! Their loud and proud presentation set the tone for the campus!! Today, scholars and staff were asked to send me their favorite line of the DOE and to explain why they selected the particular line as their favorite!! Those who participate will have their names entered in the DOE Week Raffle. Winners will be drawn on Monday!!!
We want YOU to participate in the DOE Week Raffle too!!!! Email me your favorite line of the DOE and tell me why it is your favorite line. Three VIPs(Very Important Parents) will be picked during All School Assembly in the following grade bands:
- VIPs with scholars in K4 - 1st Grade
- VIPs with scholars in 2nd - 4th Grade
- VIPs with scholars in 5th - 8th Grade
When emailing me your response, remember to include the name(s) and grade(s) of your scholar(s).
Our TRECK Value this month is TRUST. This week we are focusing on making positive choices. Positive choices are made through actions and words. At times, making a positive choice can be difficult due to situations and emotions. We recognize the difficulty; however, we do not accept choosing to empower negativity through words and actions. We have to lift each other higher at all times - NO MATTER WHAT! The MCP staff and the MCP VIPs (Very Important Parents) must work together to teach our scholars how to make positive choices every day!!! Remember, they are watching are actions!

Middle School News
Middle School Uniform Extension
We want to inform you of an important update regarding the deadline for obtaining our Middle School scholars' Monday and Wednesday professional attire. After carefully considering various factors, we have decided to extend the deadline for scholars to acquire their professional attire.
The new deadline for obtaining the Monday and Wednesday professional attire will be moved from September 6th to October 2nd. This decision has been made in response to the unexpected delay in the time for parents to place orders and receive the attire. Our primary goal is to ensure that all scholars have ample time to acquire their attire and are well-prepared for the upcoming schedule.
We understand that ordering and receiving the attire has taken longer than anticipated, and we want to ensure that this extension allows everyone to plan and obtain the necessary clothing adequately. We believe that extending the deadline will assist in alleviating any potential concerns and ensuring that all scholars have the appropriate professional attire.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to provide the best experience for our scholars. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
