The weather has been as wonderful as your children this week! I am seeing your child working hard in the classroom, playing well with others on the playground, and following the Spartan Way throughout the school!

We have Homecoming week coming up; and here are our fun, dress up days for the week:

Monday: Mismatch Day - mismatch your socks and shoes!

Tuesday: Jersey Day

Wednesday: USA Day - Red, White, and Blue

Thursday: Grade Level Colors:

• Kinder - Red
• 1st - Orange
• 2nd - Yellow
• 3rd - Green
• 4th - Purple
• 5th- Blue

Parents, please take a look at our lost and found after week 2! We noticed last year that many items left at the beginning of the year were there all year, so we are trying to share this information as best we can with you. Every month, our lost and found items will go to the Community Closet. Please feel free to stop in if you feel your child is missing something, or encourage your child to look. Our teachers also walk by it regularly with their classes so we are reminding your child to look as well!

Picture Day is Coming - Picture day will be held on September 30th during the school day. Get ready to say "cheese" and don't forget - please don't wear green.

Parents,

ROCORI Schools would like to invite parents, business leaders, and community members to participate in our district’s curriculum and instruction advisory committee. This committee will meet 3-4 times per year to review district goals, curriculum standards and resource recommendations, and district-level assessment information. We are asking for a commitment to this committee that will last for 3 years. Meetings would occur in the evening and last about 90 minutes each time.

We hope to create a committee of about 7-10 people. If you are interested, please complete this linked survey by Monday, September 16th. Completion of the survey is not a guarantee of membership on the committee.

Please consider joining Cold Spring Elementary's PTO! It is a great way to be involved in your child's school and community! For questions, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Mitteness or look to join the CSE PTO on Facebook!

Students will receive information about the CSE Color Run fundraiser put on by the Parent Teacher Organization. It's the biggest fundraiser for our school with a goal of raising $20,000. Here are the links are included in your materials:
