What's Happening at Griffis
2024-2025
December Principal Update
We hope you all had a joyful and restful Thanksgiving break filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends. As we begin the month of December, we want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support, partnership, and trust in our school community.
This time of year is a wonderful reminder of the importance of connection and gratitude. At Griffis, we are so thankful for our amazing students who inspire us every day with their curiosity, kindness, and eagerness to learn. We are equally grateful for our dedicated teachers and staff who work tirelessly to create a nurturing and engaging environment for every child. And we are thankful for you, our families, whose involvement and encouragement are key to the success and well-being of our students.
As we move into the final weeks of the semester, we are focused on finishing strong. Students are engaging in meaningful learning experiences, and teachers are continuing to provide targeted instruction to ensure every child has the opportunity to grow and thrive. We encourage you to ask your child about what they are learning, celebrate their progress, and continue fostering a love of learning at home.
As always, our door is open, and we welcome your feedback and ideas to continue strengthening our school. Thank you for being an integral part of our Griffis Fox Family. Together, we can make this a memorable and successful end to the semester for every student.
Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season!
Sincerely,
Michelle Colwell, Erin Gray & Leslie Crow
Christmas Parties @ Griffis
New Procedures for Christmas Parties
To ensure smooth logistics and safety for our Christmas parties, all attendees must RSVP in advance to join the celebration. Late RSVPs will not be accepted, and the deadline to RSVP is Monday, December 16th at 12:00 PM.
This process allows our office staff time to run names through the Raptor System. Even if you have a Fast Pass, you must still RSVP. Badges will be sent home with students in their folders on Tuesday.
Please note that each person attending must submit an RSVP. Thank you for helping us create a safe and enjoyable event for everyone!
We have adjusted instruction on our party day. You may check out your student with their homeroom teacher and it will be excused.

Each month, teachers will be looking for positive referrals from their class that they feel has best demonstrated the monthly trait. The trait for the month of December is Service. Also, please see the monthly parent newsletter below.
