Support Staff Appreciation Day - 11/20
In honor of Education Support Professionals Day on Nov. 20, many of our district and school administrators came together to share their gratitude for the immense contributions of our support staff members across various departments and roles on behalf of schools and students. From ensuring our buildings are safe and clean, to providing meals, transportation, and technology support, to assisting and caring for our most vulnerable students in our classrooms and beyond—these team members are the heart of our district! Butler Support Staff - Highlighting a Fantastic Team
Our Butler Support Staff helps our school in amazing ways - from our facilities management to the main office, kitchen to our personal care assistants, and educational support to our supervision - our team of adults are focused and helpful in amazing ways throughout the day! Knowing that our building would be "Muffin Without Them", the building celebrated our support staff with coffee and pastries. Thank you to every member of the Butler Support Staff team!

2nd Grade: Our Animation Unit is “drawing” to a close. Soon we will be starting Detective Science as we work together to identify clues and solve forensic mysteries.
3rd Grade: Junior architects are currently designing the floor plan for their dream houses. They are using what they have learned about scale, to make their plans accurate.
4th Grade: Now that students have learned more about the four elements of creativity, they are going to put them to good use! We will be moving on to our Invention Unit, which culminates with the Invention Convention in the spring.
5th and 6th Grades: Our Humor Unit has been a hoot! Students created and crafted a variety of funny mediums including memes, caricatures, parodies, and improv. The Law Unit is about to begin!
QUEST News and Updates
First Grade students benefit greatly from learning how to code as it nurtures their critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills from an early age. By engaging in age-appropriate coding activities, such as simple drag-and-drop programming or sequencing tasks, young learners develop logical reasoning and the ability to break down complex problems into manageable steps. Coding fosters perseverance, as students learn to debug their programs and try different solutions.
Furthermore, it introduces foundational concepts in technology and computer science, preparing them for a digital future while encouraging collaboration and communication as they work on projects together. These skills support academic growth and build confidence and curiosity, empowering students to see themselves as creators in a tech-driven world!
The Counselors' Corner - Special Needs Santa Visits
Families of students with special needs are invited to have a private 10-minute session with Santa (without the noises and crowds that typically occur when getting your seasonal photograph(s)). Bring your camera to capture your favorite picture!
This event is free. However, we are asking for donations to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of New Jersey. To reserve, please email Dr. Brittany Lyman at info@autismdiagnostics.com to schedule your appointment with Santa. You must have a pre-scheduled appointment confirmation to confirm the visit.
