iPad Distribution
3rd - 5th grade students received their School iPads this week and have begun bringing them home. The 1st and 2nd graders will receive their iPads on Monday and Tuesday. Please ensure that your iPad protection plan has been paid-REQUIRED- in PUSHCOIN- this is NOT optional-having the protection plan minimizes what you need to pay in damages by 1/2! The Protection Plan is also important as it allows your student to bring their iPad home.
Please help support your child to be successful by having them charge their iPad, nightly and bring their iPad to school DAILY. All students were given a 'Welcome to your iPad Handout' which includes some important information- please look for that in their folders.
Basic Rule of Thumb: IF your child does NOT have homework, math practice, or reading to be done on their iPad- they should not be using it. This is a School iPad. Save their YouTube watching and safari game searches for their personal or family devices. Students should not be taking videos or photos unless it is specifically aligned with a school assignment. The Millburn iPad is filtered and has filtering software. Please do not attempt to go into settings and change any of MIllburn's settings, or filters, nor add your own.
If your child damages their iPad please let your classroom teacher know immediately so that the tech department can work right away without any disruption to learning. All K - 5 students were asked to bring wired earphones/headphones to school as a supply. If your child does not have a set a set can be purchased in the Media Center and your PUSHCOIN will be charged $5.
End of the Day Dismissal
In order to maintain a safe transfer of students to families who pick up their child at the end of the school day, adults must be listed on our Parent Pick-Up list. As parents pull up to pick up their child, we first validate the adult picking up is on the list. Once that is confirmed, we send the child outside for pick up.
If you plan to pick-up your child this year at dismissal, please complete the Parent Pick Up Form below.
