Dear Cavalier Families,

Progress Report 2 came out last Friday. Were your grades where you wanted them to be? Please take action now, we have six more weeks before the final semester report card where grades are recorded on your official transcript. Get the support you need now and communicate with your teachers.

This week's announcements:

• Students continue to have Performance Tasks in their core classes this week.
• The Auditorium will be a polling location on Tuesday, November 5 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Dance classes will be held in the weight room perhaps until Wednesday, maybe even Thursday. Please exercise your right to vote!
• This Friday we will celebrate Veteran's Day by having a "RED, WHITE, and BLUE" day. Please dress up and earn 5 Star points! There is no school on Monday in honor of our Veteran's.
  
• Rise Up Friday this week is with the Social Science Department. Parents may be contacted from their student's World Cultures or U.S. History teacher to have a parent-teacher-student conference on Friday afternoon and/or have their student stay for an hour to receive extra assistance.
• The San Diego Asian Film Festival begins this week. For the first time, school-age youth will be given free tickets to see films! Click on the button below to find out more!

Continuing announcements:

• All students and parents have the unique opportunity to receive individual and family therapy sessions at no cost through the Center of Mindful Relationships. If any student is interested in this, please fill out this form or scan the QR code on the flyer listed below.
  
A reminder that NO CELL PHONES or earbuds / headphones should be visible on campus. They should be turned off and put in backpacks. We found cell phones to be the cause of many conflicts due to social media. Parents, please support us with this. Do not contact your child through the cell phone during the day. Parents can always call the main office to relay a message to your student. Phones should not be on during CLUB TC and shouldn't be in sight until students are off-campus.
• Parents can register their students for Club TC on the school website or through the QR code below. The Club TC office is in Room 215, close to the white G street gate. Those arriving early must enter through the gate. After school dismissal is also through the white G street gate. Once students exit the Auditorium gate at 3:10 pm they are not allowed to enter back for Club TC.
