UPDATE: Spirit Day - Friday, May 31 / Family Night Tuesday, May 28
We are switching up our spirit day and going with TIE-DYE as a theme! Break out your bright colors as we celebrate summer!
We are hosting a family tie-dye night on Tuesday, May 28 at 6 p.m. in the courtyard. If you don't have tie-dye already, stop by and make one! We are asking families to bring a light colored t-shirt if you have one. If you need help getting a t-shirt, please reach out to us and we will make sure everyone gets one. All other supplies are provided free of charge.
A HUGE thank you to our PTG and to Jordan Keay for putting this even together on short notice.
Please RSVP using the form that was sent home or you can download a copy attached below. This will ensure we have enough supplies for everyone.
5th Grade Entrepreneur Fair
Our fifth graders are working through a project in collaboration with local author, Ty Allen Jackson. They are reading his book, Make Your Own Money, part of the Danny Dollar series that help teach students about financial management. Students are learning all of the components of starting their own business and will be presenting their final projects on Thursday, June 6th at Craneville Elementary in Dalton.
Families are invited to view the final projects. See the attached flyer for complete details.
Field Day Volunteers
We are looking for adult volunteers to help with our Field Day on Tuesday, June 11th. Volunteers are needed from 8:45-11:30am. If you are interested, please email Jenn Brandi at jbrandi@cbrsd.org. Once we have a list of activities, Ms. Brandi will contact volunteers to confirm that their help is needed!
Please note that in order to volunteer you will need to complete a CORI/SORI background check in advance. Anyone can request a check that will allow them to support this or future volunteer opportunities with CBRSD. To get started on that process, you can stop in in-person to see Mrs. Jenkins in the main office. You will also need a government-issued photo ID.
Notes from the Nurse's Office
Annual Physicals
Hello Parents and Guardians!
It is almost the end of year and I have a big favor to ask of you all….
It would help me immensely if when you see your child’s pediatrician (or primary care) you could have a current physical sent to me. You can even ask for them to send it over if you have to call them for a question.
A current physical ensures that I am able to keep up-to-date on what is happening with your child (medically, heights & weights, vision, hearing, scoliosis, and immunizations). Having this information on hand for the students here at Kittredge is a great way for the 2024 - 2025 school year to start.
How do you get the physical to my office, well we have quite a few ways!
- Scan it and email it to me at: mskidmore@cbrsd.org
- Have the pediatrician’s office fax it to me: 413-655-0184
- Have the pediatrician’s office mail it to me: 80 Maple Street, Hinsdale MA 01235
Again, I would so appreciate if the parents and guardians here at Kittredge could help me out by making sure that the nurse’s office has a current physical (or if your child has a medical order it can be sent to me in any one of these ways as well).
Thank you all so much for your help with this, and I am looking forward to the 2024 - 2025 school year and being your child’s School Nurse.
