2024 National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship Program
Description
Since 2004, the National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) has granted scholarships to outstanding students pursuing medical, nursing, dental, pharmacy, physician associate, and public health degrees. Initially established in New York City, the program expanded its reach with support from various organizations. In 2007, NHHF partnered with the United Health Foundation (UHF), allowing for an increase in scholarship awards and the introduction of a mentoring program. As of January 2024, NHHF has awarded over $2 million to 412 scholarship recipients.

Requirements
- Personal statement, including career goals (double-spaced, two-page maximum)
- Current curriculum vitae (education, employment, extracurricular activities, awards)
- Letter of recommendation (one letter only)
- Proof of U.S. citizenship, residency, or DACA status
- Proof of enrollment*
- Unofficial transcript
- Signed Media Release form
- Photo of applicant "in action" in their respective field
*Proof of enrollment is only required if you are entering your first year of your academic program at the time of completing your application.

The Gates Scholarship
Award
Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance* that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology used by a Scholar’s college or university.
*Cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation, and may include other personal costs.
Eligibility
To apply, students must be:
A high school senior
From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
Pell-eligible
A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
*Additionally, a student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.
*For American Indian/Alaska Native, proof of tribal enrollment will be required.
Ideal Candidate
An ideal candidate will have:
An outstanding academic record in high school (in the top 10% of his/her graduating class)
Demonstrated leadership ability (e.g., as shown through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities)
Exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)

Key Thinkers Scholarship
Eligibility:
U.S. citizen or permanent resident and be 18 years or older.
enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college, university, or trade school.
possessing a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Description:
The Key Thinkers Scholarship awards a $1,000 Scholarship to one academically qualified recipient, twice each year. There will be a total of two recipients of the Scholarship per academic year. MoneyKey offers this scholarship to post-secondary students who demonstrate outstanding achievement. This is an opportunity for students to be a voice in the growing conversation about financial responsibility.

Creative Biolabs Scholarship
Eligibility:
Enrolled as a freshman, undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. student at an accredited college or university.
Major in a science-related field such as Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Molecular Biology.
Earn a cumulative average grade of a B (3.0 GPA).
Description:

Heartfelt Dreams Foundation Nursing Scholarship
Eligibility:
The program is open to any hospital-based cardiac care nurse or nursing student pursuing a career in cardiac care, and is based upon a competitive application process.
Description:
Nurses or nursing students wishing to apply for the Heartfelt Dreams Foundation Academic Nursing Scholarship are invited to complete the application form at the host website. Applicants must include a current version of their resume. Applications will be reviewed by a Foundation committee and the scholarship winner will be announced on our website

Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship
Do you know how far you will drive on the freeway if you take your eyes off the road for five seconds, the average time it takes to send a text? An entire football field. According to the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, texting while driving makes drivers 23 times more likely to get into a "safety-critical event." The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand the risks of texting while driving. For more information on texting while driving
Who may apply: You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Deadline: September 30, 2024 to coincide with September's No Texting while Driving Day.
