CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Our 7th grade students had the opportunity to learn about Civic Responsibility with
State Trooper C. Patrick Callahan.
We love having our students participate in our end of day announcements
Learning is FUN!
6th grade Applied Math classes made paper airplanes in order to collect data that they could analyze. In the process they went over reading rulers and measuring tapes, and the data collected was used to find the "measures of central tendencies" (mean, median, mode and range).

MOMS MUSIC IN THE COMMUNITY
We are pleased to announce that the MOMS Choir program was approved for the Peter R. Marsh Foundation Grant for this academic year! This grant awarded $1250.00 to the school program to help fund efforts to provide at least 3 musical performances and outreach programs for senior citizens in our community. The engagement with the senior community will not only enrich their daily life and give them something to look forward to, but also enrich the lives of our students by providing meaningful performance opportunities, and also engaging the senior community with our schools so they can experience first-hand what Mount Olive School District has to offer.
"We are thrilled to share the success of our 6th-grade choir's recent performance at the Mount Olive Senior Center Name. The students not only delivered a wonderful beautiful performance, but they also conducted themselves with maturity and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on our MO senior community.
Many senior citizens took the time to express how much they appreciated the students’ singing and, even more so, the warm conversations they shared after the performance. Many of them expressed they don't have family of their own close by in location and how they appreciated the performance and conversations. Their positive feedback was overwhelming, and it was clear that our students brought immense joy and connection to the senior center community.
This success is a testament to the outstanding work of their directors, Mrs. Scarangello and Ms. Hughes. Their dedication, expertise, and ability to inspire their students made it even possible. I would also like to extend a special thank-you to Mrs. Scarangello for her initiative in applying for the grant that made this incredible opportunity possible.
Please join me in celebrating the talents of our students, the leadership of their directors, and the power of music to build meaningful connections within our community."
Sincerely,
Mrs. Melany McQueeny

Dear Families,
Regular school attendance is essential for your child's academic progress and social development. Prioritizing consistent attendance helps students stay on track with learning and build strong relationships with peers and teachers.
However, we also prioritize the health of our school community. If your child is feeling unwell or has a fever, please keep them home. Following these health guidelines from the NJ Department of Health and the CDC, students should remain at home for at least 24 hours after their fever has ended without medication. This helps prevent the spread of illness and ensures your child can return to school ready to learn.
Thank you for your support in fostering both your child's education and well-being.
