Communicating High Expectations - ESSA
Why it is so important that "Every Student Succeeds"
The bottom line for our success needs to continue to be our focus on solid relationships with students, solid core instruction, solid assessment of learning and solid interventions for kids who need support or extension; part of this equation is also solid grading practices of which I have provided a letter I will be sending to our community soon to communicate our scale-up plans for Standards Based Grading. If we continue to collaborate, monitor our instructional impact and support one another in these key areas listed above we will definitely see great results.
One of the items that we will also be covering at my principal network is linked below - how we communicate our high expectations for learning to all stakeholders is crucial AND is one of the key determinants of student growth. How do you communicate your high expectations?
