Parkside Vision
The Parkside community cultivates each Scholar to become life-long learners who inspire others and positively change the world.
News from Mrs. Meeks ❤️ 🖤 💙
Dear Mustang Family,
I am writing to share some bittersweet news with you all. After six wonderful years serving as the principal of Parkside Elementary School, I have accepted a new position as the principal of Cedar Park Middle School.
It has been an absolute privilege and joy to watch our students grow over the years, and I have truly appreciated building partnerships with our incredible staff and supportive families. Together, we have embodied our shared vision, striving to “cultivate each scholar to become lifelong learners who inspire others and positively change the world." The culture we have built together will surely leave a lasting legacy, and that is something in which we can all be proud.
While I am excited about this new chapter, I want to assure you that my commitment to the education and well-being of our students remains unwavering. I will be working closely with the district leadership to develop a transition plan that prioritizes the continued success of our students and school community.
Our district values your input on recommendations for next steps as they begin the process to establish new campus leadership. In the next few weeks, you will be receiving more information about the process and how you will be involved, including a survey inviting you to give feedback on the characteristics you are seeking in a principal for Parkside Elementary. Please know that LISD is committed to ensuring that Parkside is in good hands and will begin to find the next leader. I want you to know how grateful I am for the opportunity to have been a part of the Parkside family and look forward to the continued success of our beautiful school.
Thank you for your unabiding support over the years. Our time together has been an experience that I will cherish forever.
Warmest regards,
Lauren Meeks
