This week we take the time to highlight and celebrate our amazing custodial staff at Olmito Elementary! Mr. Jesus (Chuy), Mr. Rene, Ms. Zulema, and Ms. Nancy play such an important role in keeping our school clean and running smoothly every day. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication. 📣 Los Fresnos High School Homecoming Week 📣
This week, we are excited to join in the celebration of Los Fresnos High School's Homecoming with a week of fun dress-up days. Please see the flyer below for the daily dress-up themes. We look forward to celebrating alongside our Los Fresnos Falcons. Don't miss the Los Fresnos Homecoming Parade on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 6:00 PM. Some of our very own OES students—our 5th Grade Rangers, Dazzling Paws Dance Team, OES Cheer Team, and Little Paws Pep Squad—will be participating in the parade. Come out and cheer them on!

We will be celebrating World Teacher Day on Friday, October 4, 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the special teachers in your child's life. A heartfelt note of gratitude or a small token of appreciation can go a long way in showing your child's teacher how much they are valued. Let's make sure our teachers feel the love!

The book fair will be open from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with a Family Literacy Night on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5:30-7:00 PM. Come enjoy a fall literacy activity, snacks, and shop for books! The book fair will close at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 11.
Literacy Trunk or Treat - October 24, 2024, 5:30-7:00 PM
Our Family Literacy Trunk or Treat is coming up later this month, and we invite all of our OES families to attend this fun-filled event! Are you interested in helping with our annual literacy-themed Trunk or Treat? We are looking for volunteers to sponsor treats, donate books, create a trunk, and even serve as guest readers. ✅ Parent Academic Conferences (PAC) Meetings ✅
Your child’s teacher will be reaching out soon to schedule Parent Academic Conferences, which will take place between October 15 and November 15. These important meetings follow the first nine weeks of school and provide an opportunity to discuss report card grades and your child's progress. We encourage you to attend your scheduled meeting to ensure continued communication about your child's academic journey.
