Dear Hayshire Families,

As we navigate the winter weather, we are thankful for the flexibility of our families, staff, and bus drivers. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during unpredictable weather situations. Please remember to dress students warmly with layers, hats, gloves, and scarves.

Escape the winter chill and join us for a cozy Family Game Night! Warm up with hot chocolate, friendly competition, and good company! Remember to bring your favorite board games. Hayshire Family Game Night on Friday, January 24 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM is the perfect way to beat the cold!

Monday, January 27 is Dine to Donate Night at the York location of Texas Roadhouse. Support our PTO by presenting the flyer (see below) and Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of your total food and gift card purchase to Hayshire PTO!

Friday, January 31 is the 100th day! The 100th day of school is a day to celebrate the progress students have made, the lessons they've learned, and the fun they've had. Students and staff... Dress like you are 100 or wear 100 of something!

Hayshire Read-A-Thon

Mark your calendar! Thursday, February 27 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM is our next Hayshire Family Night. Bring your books and a blanket to cuddle up and read with your family. There will be special guest readers. PTO will provide hot chocolate and treats! Don't forget to wear your pajamas!

Central York Diversity Celebration

The CYSD Diversity Celebration is being held on February 12 from 6:00-8:00 at the HS. This event is a chance to highlight the unique experiences, perspectives, and cultures within our community. The event will feature school and community tables to explore, a selection of international treats to enjoy, and a special presentation beginning at 7:15 PM, where students and staff will have the opportunity to share "their story" through a variety of formats, including performances and spoken word.

This year, the Diversity Celebration Committee is seeking more involvement from students and staff in the K-6 buildings to participate in the celebration by sharing their stories, artwork, and other talents in the celebration of diversity and inclusion. Students and staff can write a story about their specific culture, family traditions, journey to Central, their native language, and learning English as a second language. Participants can read their own stories or choose someone else to read. In addition, students and staff can present their culture-related artwork, songs, and/or dances at the celebration.

Thank you to everyone who attended our last PTO meeting! Our next official meeting day is February 6 at 6:00 pm in the library. Once again, PTO will provide child care during the meeting. We can’t wait to see you!

Central York School District offers optional protection plans for your child’s District issued devices.

The protection plan fully covers your child’s device for any accidental damage that occurs. The cost is $25 per year for iPads and $60 per year for Macbooks.
