January Update
Important Things to Know
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As we step into 2025, I'm filled with gratitude for the dedication and enthusiasm of our students, families, faculty and staff. We have had a wonderful first half of our school year. This month marks a fresh startβa chance to set new goals, embrace growth opportunities and celebrate the successes that lie ahead. I pray the rest of this school year is filled with learning, growth and meaningful connections.
I look forward to the experiences and accomplishments that await us all in the months ahead. Wishing everyone an amazing start to 2025!
We will begin our middle of the year i-Ready testing on January 8th. This will be an opportunity to see the growth in our students from fall to spring. Your child's i-Ready results will be shared with you at our 3rd Quarter Parent Teacher Conferences on February 13th.
Wishing all of you an amazing first month of the new year!

Important Info for You!
Fever Policy
Fever and Exclusion from School*
Any student with a temperature of 100.4 degrees F or above will be required to leave school. It is required that the student be picked up within one hour of parent/guardian notification due to the potential of spreading a possible infectious or contagious disease to others. If your child is not feeling well before school, please check their temperature before sending them to school. If their temperature is 100.4 degrees or more they should remain at home until they are fever free (below 100.4 degrees without medication) for 24 hours and you are confident they are symptom free before returning to school.
To decrease the spread of potentially communicable diseases, students exhibiting symptoms of impending illness will be sent home at the discretion of the school nurse. Factors considered before sending students home include a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms that impact their ability to be productive at school.
Risk of contagion. Missouri State Law Section 167.191 states that it is unlawful for any student to attend school if diagnosed with contagious or infectious disease, or while liable to transmit such disease after having been exposed to it (ex. Flu, lice, staph infection, COVID-19, Impetigo, Pink Eye). For the safety of your student and others, the school administration may require any student to be examined by a physician and/or exclude the student from school so long as there is any liability of such disease being transmitted by the student.
