Principal's Message:

We are in the final stretch of our 2023-2024 school year and I am left wondering where has the time gone? This year has been amazing on so many levels for our students, staff, and administrators.

We welcomed new19 new teachers to our campus and 3 returning teachers to our campus (K-12). We focused on our campus-wide Wildly Important Goals (W.I.Gs) in ELA, Math, and Science, we continued to emphasize leadership among our student body through the facilitation of Leader in Me habits, and had a wonderful time bringing the Habits to our parents through evening workshops.

Along the way, we successfully held numerous family events. We were able to show off our academics, dance, athleticism, and art talent. We pride ourselves on being a community based school and making sure all feel welcome and have an insight into who we are and what we do at Skyline South Campus.

Next week we will have our annual Benchmark Movie Celebrations for any learner who hit a 50+ points of growth on last week's benchmark exams in Math or ELA. Be on the lookout for movie permission slips if your student earned an invitation.

Our final events of this school year are Kindergarten Graduation and 8th Grade Promotion. We have created a separate newsletter for each of these events. The Kindergarten Newsletter will be sent out on Friday, May 3rd. The 8th Grade Promotion Newsletter was sent out last week. Check with your registrar if you have a learner in either grade and did not receive the informational newsletter.

Next year, we will continue to raise the bar on our W.I.Gs in ELA and Math and incorporate a writing focus as well...expect to hear plenty about it when your learners return in the fall (you're welcome, LOL).

Summer School registration ends this week. Make sure to use the QR code sent on Class Dojo by our amazing vice-principals.

Lastly, I want to share how much I have enjoyed getting to know your learners this year. We realize YOU are a large part of who they are as tiny humans. THANK YOU parents for your support in our classrooms, with our teachers, and for partnering with us this year for a win-win!

Habit of the Month...

For our final weeks of school, teachers will have the option of choosing their Habit of the Month with their class. Many will review all habits are we prepare for summer. Make sure to follow up with your child's teacher/s so you can support at home.
