🌟 Angel Tree Still Shining Bright 🌟
The spirit of giving is alive and well as our Angel Tree initiative continues to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Thanks to your generosity, we've been able to fulfill wishes and bring smiles to many faces. If you haven't had a chance to participate yet, it's not too late to be someone's holiday hero. Check out the Angel Tree website and make a difference in someone's season of joy.
☃️ Frosty Fest Recap: A Winter Wonderland Extravaganza ☃️
The recent Frosty Fest was a snow-tastic success! Our community came together to celebrate the winter season in style. From gingerbread houses that took our breath away to the sweet aroma of hot cocoa filling the air, Frosty Fest was a true winter wonderland. Families, friends, and neighbors united in the spirit of merriment, creating memories that will surely last a lifetime.
The highlight of the fest was the arts showcase. The community enjoyed the art show, and performances from dance, theatre, choir, music and band.
What's Next?
As we bid farewell to Frosty Fest, let's carry the warmth and joy into the rest of the holiday season. Keep an eye out for upcoming events like the family craft night and opportunities to spread kindness in our community. Whether it's participating in food box drive, volunteering your time at the gift wrapping party, or simply sharing a smile with a neighbor, every little bit makes a difference.
Thank you for being a part of our wonderful community. Together, we can continue to make the holiday season brighter for everyone.
Thank you to everyone that has donated to the staff luncheon! We appreciate your support. We are currently still looking for donations. Please sign up here if you are interested.
Until next time, stay warm and keep spreading that holiday cheer!

AFHS Angel Tree
Last Chance to Help!
As we embark on the holiday season, the spirit of giving comes alive with the unveiling of our cherished AFHS Angel Tree! 🎄 This annual tradition brings together the heartwarming synergy of our community to support those in need. This year, our tree boasts 120 students, ages 18 months to 18 years, each with dreams and wishes waiting to be fulfilled. Students on the Angel Tree are current and future Owls. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of counselors, social workers, teachers, and administrators, these students have found a place on our Angel Tree.
Here's where you come in! Whether you're a seasoned supporter or a first-time contributor, the AFHS Angel Tree invites you to be a beacon of joy. Explore our new website, select an Angel, and witness the magic unfold. For a hands-on experience, don't miss our gift wrapping parties on 12/15 and 12/18 from 2:15-4 pm in the cafeteria.https://afhs-angel-tree.company.site/

Safety
We remain committed to keeping our campus safe for all students. We have experienced a major decrease in the number of fights out on campus and work hard to provide effective supervision and to provide students opportunities to partner with administration to diffuse issues before they happen.
We are, however, noticing an increase in the fights happening in the community, such as at the local library and parks, and fights in the bathrooms on campus. This is not how we want our Owls to be represented in the community and this is not what we stand for. Please have a discussion with your student about more appropriate ways to resolve conflicts, including:
Alerting admin, their counselor, student support, security, or any trusted adult to the situation
Participating in an admin-facilitated student mediation
Asking an administrator about setting up a peace contract
Please note: fights or graffiti that occur in the bathroom still warrant school consequences and may also include legal charges.
Athletes of the Month
Tami Balogun
Tami has started off her senior season well leading the team in scoring with a 16.4 avg and 5 rebounds per game. In the game against Yuma, Tami made 9 of 10 shots to lead the team with 21 points. Tami has been very steady to start the season.
– Coach Polvino
Amari Johnson
Since Amari has arrived he has been a stellar STUDENT-ATHLETE. He moved here from Texas with a lot of adversity back in Texas. He took care of his RMA right away, he is a YES SIR NO SIR guy ALL the time, he asks questions, already won our first CHARACTER MATTERS Character Quality player of the week award for COMMITMENT and during our tournament last week (in a very HARD weekend) played like we want our OWL BASKETBALL players to play: HARD, SMART, SELFLESS, etc... and was leading scorer in 2 out of 2 games.
-Coach Lefebvre
