Late Start Registration for K-6 Supervision
Just a friendly reminder that Monday, October 4, is the deadline to register and pay for K-6 supervision for the Late Start on Monday, October 11. The supervision for students in grades K-6 is $10 per child for each late start day. This service is separate from Chautauqua and only for students NOT already enrolled in the Chautauqua Before School Program.
In order to arrange for adequate staffing, you must register and pay for K-6 supervision by the end of the day on Monday, October 4. (Please note: you may register for multiple dates by filling out the form one time - it is not necessary for you to wait and register before each late start date.) Once you have registered, payments can be made by cash or check to your child’s school or via PayPal.

Important Transportation Update Reminder
As a reminder, students will be required to provide their own masks while riding the school bus beginning Monday, September 27, 2021. Since the start of the school year, the District has provided more than 50,000 masks to students and it is important that all students bring and wear a mask on the bus. The WSD Transportation Department’s supply of masks is rapidly dwindling and we ask for your assistance with this matter. Masks are required on all school buses per federal requirements.
The Transportation Department has been asked to notify building administrators when students are not following this federal requirement. The building will attempt to work with students and families to remedy the situation. If a student is not correctly wearing a mask while on the bus, the family will need to make other arrangements.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter as we work together to support our students.

Updated Proof of Residency Requirements
For the list of approved documents, please see the District website.
New enrollments will be required to provide full proof of residency documentation.
If you have already provided residency proof, thank you! Please contact your school's secretary or registrar for further information.

2021-2022 COVID-19 Information
We wanted to make parents and students aware that effective Monday, October 4, 2021, a new WSD-modified quarantine process will go into effect. The WSD-modified quarantine allows all close contacts who were exposed in the regular school or bus setting (regardless of mask status) to continue attending school in person. In order to qualify for this modification, students must remain consistently and appropriately masked and symptom-free throughout the duration of their 14-day quarantine period and may not participate in extracurricular activities. If students become symptomatic or do not consistently and appropriately wear a mask, they will be required to quarantine at home for the remainder of the 14 days.
The WSD will continue to participate in contact tracing and provide all relevant information to the St. Charles County Department of Public Health, and the SCCDPH will continue to issue orders of quarantine. While the provision of the WSD-modified quarantine allows for students who were exposed during school to continue attending school during the period of full quarantine, families may still elect to keep their student(s) home during this time period. The decision to attend school during this time would be at the parents’ discretion, and student learning will be supported by the WSD staff, regardless of whether the student chooses to attend in person or learn while at home during this time period. As a reminder, students must remain completely symptom-free and appropriately and consistently wear a well-fitted mask in order to be eligible for the new WSD-modified quarantine. Students who do not meet these criteria must remain at home for the duration of their quarantine period.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our students safe and at school.
