Monday Meet & Greet Activities!
Jigsaw Puzzle
This month's activity is "Jigsaw Puzzle" and it comes from https://www.teachingexpertise.com/classroom-ideas/meet-and-greet-activity-for-students/. Each student in your class gets a piece of a jigsaw puzzle that connects to someone else in the class. They have to find the matching part of their "jigsaw" puzzle. You can add to this idea but having a question attached to each jigsaw piece that students have to answer when they find their matching puzzle piece.
Curriculum Corner
Each month, I will be posting a instructional strategy from the lead4ward playbook. Teachers are encouraged to incorporate the instructional strategy during the month and share pictures that can go in the WAAG of them using it! https://lead4ward.com/docs/instructional_strategies/playlist_2023_24.pdf
This month's instructional strategy is "Rock and Roll Item Review". This strategy is a great way to review for exams. It has students "analyze complex test items in six different ways to determine mistakes in content and thinking". Students get to roll a dice that corresponds to what they need to do with the test question. With testing season upon us - this is a great way to help students review!
Upcoming Events!
April celebrates our Librarians - and at KHS we have some of the best staff running our library! Thank you to Mrs. Clarke and Mrs. Tull for all that they do!
