Week-at-a-Glance (WAAG) for June 16-20, 2025
Year End Exams
The final exam period is fast approaching, a crucial time for JH Students. They will be tackling teacher-created final exams, the Grade 9 Provincial Achievement Tests and the Grade 6 PAT for Math, ELA & Social. These exams are not just a formality but a significant opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
To help students prepare for their final exams, learn valuable study skills, and finish the school year successfully, we would like to stress the crucial role of attendance during our exam week from June 17th to June 24th. Students must be well rested, have a good breakfast, and arrive on time, especially during exams. Those who arrive on time have a greater chance of being successful, as this is when expectations and explanations of the test are reviewed. (Below is a schedule of the exam dates.)
In Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools, we firmly believe junior high students will reap the benefits of structured review sessions. This preparation will directly boost their confidence as they approach exams. Research has consistently shown that students who feel prepared for exams experience reduced anxiety and achieve better academic success.
We wish all the fathers and father figures of the Legal School family a very special Father's Day on Sunday! Many blessings to all of you!
Blessings,
Mrs. Kleparchuk & Mrs. Crowston

We bid farewell to several dedicated staff members. Mrs. Kleparchuk is moving on to become Principal of St. Gabe's Education Centre. After four years at Legal School, Mr. Kary will be teaching Grade JH ELA and Options at Sister Alphonse Academy. We thank him for his service and dedication to Titans Athletics. Mrs. Webb is also leaving us after two years at Legal School, returning to Sturgeon Public; we thank her for her dedication and support for students and families. Lastly, we wish Mrs. Schaeffer the best of luck as she moves to G.H. Primeau next school year after teaching Grade 2/3 with us this past year.
We also say goodbye to two Educational Assistants, Mrs. Holmes and Mrs. Williams, and thank them for their dedication and compassion in supporting students this past year.
Finally, our Youth Success Coach, Mrs. Pelletier, has transferred to G.H. Primeau. We were blessed to have her support all our students this year. We wish you all much success and happiness in your new adventures.
Welcome:
We welcome Miss Kasha, who joins us from St. Kateri Tehawithka, where she has taught Grade 2 for the couple of months and prior to that she was one of our regular substitute teachers and the students are excited to have her be one of their teachers. We are looking forward to having some new faces on the Titans Staff.
Introducing our new JH Teacher
Miss Kasha has been teaching Grades 2 and 5 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha for the last few months. She received her Bachelors of Education at the University of Alberta and is very excited to join the Titan's Team for the 2025/2026 school year!
Library Closed!!
The school library is now closed for the year, and it's important that all items are returned immediately. Emails or paper handouts will be sent out for overdue items, and any outstanding fees for missing items will be issued next week.
We want to thank Ms. Despins, who has been working very hard over the past few months to make purchases and get the library stocked with new books for our students. We are excited to have Ms. Despins returning as our Library Technician in the fall.
