Thank You for a Fantastic School Year!
Dear Gage Elementary Families,
As the school year draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. What an incredible year it has been! From the first day of school jitters to the triumphant cheers at the end-of-year celebrations, we have shared countless memories, achievements, and yes, even a few humorous moments that we will cherish forever.
First and foremost, thank you for your unwavering support and partnership. Whether it was helping with homework (sometimes using methods that are, let’s say, more "creative" than we taught in class), attending parent-teacher conferences, or cheering from the sidelines at school events, your involvement has been crucial to our success. Your children are truly a joy to teach, and it has been a pleasure watching them grow, learn, and occasionally sneak in a good laugh during lessons.
To our wonderful fifth-grade families, congratulations on reaching this important milestone! As your children move on to middle school, we wish them all the best in their future endeavors. We know they will carry the lessons, friendships, and experiences from Gage Elementary with them. Remember, middle schoolers still need their parents, so brace yourselves for more adventures and maybe a few more gray hairs. We will miss you and hope you stay in touch!
As we head into summer, we hope you all find time to relax, explore new hobbies, and spend quality time with loved ones. Encourage your children to dive into books, explore the outdoors, and maybe even learn a new skill or two. And don’t forget to keep up with those math facts – perhaps through a friendly family competition (loser does the dishes for a week?).
Thank you once again for making this school year so special. Your support, kindness, and sense of community have made all the difference. Have a fantastic summer, and we look forward to seeing many of you back in the fall for another great year at Gage Elementary!
Warmest regards,
Your Gage Admin Team
Fifth Grade Promotion
As we approach the exciting day of our fifth-grade promotion ceremony, I wanted to remind everyone that students should arrive at school at the regular time on Thursday morning. Please do not hold them at home and bring them just for the ceremony, as this would create significant disruption. It’s important for the students to be present during the beginning of the day ensure a smooth and organized celebration for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in making this a memorable event for our students.
Our 5th-grade promotion will occur on June 6th. We will be holding promotion on the field which will allow us to have a larger number of family members attend. Each 5th-grade student will be randomly assigned a number using a random number generator which will determine heir seating order. A seat will be provided for each 5th grader, but we ask all other family members to please bring a chair to sit in during promotion.
LCFF Information, Final Call
Dear parents/guardians,
The district is currently collecting Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) data for the 2024/25 school year! The LCFF is hallmark legislation that fundamentally changed how all local educational agencies (LEAs) in the state are funded, how they are measured for results, and the services and supports they receive to allow all students to succeed to their greatest potential.
If you haven't done so already, please submit a response by next Thursday, June 6 via one of 3 methods: Parent Portal, SurveyMonkey, or paper scan form. All responses will potentially increase the district's opportunity to receive funds from the state. The information is kept confidential and only used for allowed purposes.
Thank you for your continued support!
