Prioritizing Student Well-being: Mental Health Supports Available
Dear Families,
As we navigate the ongoing challenges of our world, our students' mental health and well-being remain a top priority for the Orrville Schools. We understand that children and adolescents may experience various emotions and difficulties, and we are committed to providing them with the necessary support to thrive.
We are fortunate to have a strong partnership with the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Wayne & Holmes Counties, which offers many valuable resources and services for our students and families. The board is dedicated to promoting mental wellness and providing timely access to care.
Here’s a glimpse of the mental health supports available through the Mental Health & Recovery Board:
Crisis Intervention: Immediate support for students experiencing a mental health crisis, including suicidal thoughts or self-harm.
Counseling and Therapy: Individual, family, and group counseling services to address various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Prevention and Education Programs: Educational workshops and programs designed to promote mental health awareness and build coping skills.
Referral Services: Assistance in connecting families with appropriate mental health providers and community resources.
School-Based Services: Many of the services provided by the board are available within the school setting, making access to care more convenient.
Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment: resources to help students and families deal with substance abuse.
How to Access Support:
If your child is experiencing a mental health crisis, kindly reach out to the crisis hotline at 330-845-4357 without delay.
You can contact your child’s school counselor for non-emergency mental health concerns.

We encourage you to take advantage of these valuable resources and prioritize open communication about mental health within your family. Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Working together can create a supportive and nurturing environment where all students can reach their full potential.
Sincerely,
Dr. Toth
