During November and December, we are talking about Empathy. We are using this definition at school:

Empathy: is understanding and connecting to other people's feelings

Empathy is a crucial skill for being in community with others and a powerful skill to develop in personal and professional relationships. We are focusing on a few key pieces of Empathy: knowing how we feel, understanding what others are feeling, and listening to others well so that we can connect in more meaningful ways!

**Please note: Alpha classes will be at Walker Elementary.

Possession and Use of Personal Telecommunications Devices, Including Cell Phones, and Other Electronic Devices (See Appendix I) The district permits students to possess personal cell phones for safety purposes; however, these devices must remain turned off during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes. Devices should be kept in student backpacks during the school day.
