Has your student ever wanted to learn how to Ski or Snowboard? Maybe they'd like to try mountain biking or rock climbing! Venture Out - Outdoor Club will hold their next meeting on Thursday, 10/24, right after school in the Library. If you are interested in joining or finding out what type of fun events Venture Out will be planning, please join us in the Library to launch this exciting new SMS CLUB.
Introducing our Soaring Skyhawk Award! At SMS we are committed to empowering students to reach high levels of learning so that they can become community leaders and global citizens. Not only do we focus on academics, but we also focus on developing our character. This month we are looking for students who demonstrate that they are Trustworthy! During the month we will be on the lookout for evidence of trustworthiness and that they to do what is expected even when they don't know if anyone is looking. At the end of the month, Teachers and Students will have a chance to nominate those students who exemplify what it means to be trustworthy and award the Soaring Skyhawk Awards! Teachers can also let them know they're on the right track by giving them tickets for trustworthiness. The tickets are then put in a Raffle for Friday's lunch. Good luck and do your BEST!
For those students who would like to dress up for Halloween here are the expectations:
- Must meet dress code expectations.
- No masks or props
- No face paint or fake blood
- No weapons
