Just a few reminders about safety at our school
- Please watch your speed at all times in our parking lot.
- Reserve our handicap parking spaces for those in need. Do not use them for convenience.
- Students may not be on school grounds before 7:40 (8:40 on Wednesdays) unless they are participating in a school organized activity.
- Please do not exit your vehicle in the drop-off/pick-up lane. That lane should be continuously moving. Move to a parking space if needed.
- Please make sure you bring your phone ready to scan a QR code to sign in/out your student.
As the weather cools down, we would like to take this opportunity to remind families of a few policies. Anytime the "feels like" temperature is above 15 degrees, and the weather is permitting, we will have outside recess. Please make sure your students dresses appropriately.

Happy Friday! We just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that our Facebook PTA page is for ALL families with kids at Ponderosa. You do not need to be an active volunteer or member to join. Our aim for the group page is to be a source of information for all things Ponderosa, not just strictly PTA sponsored events. We share information for school planned events (examples are walk & roll day, field day, the book fair), student council planned (food drive), and other events planned by a mix of groups/individuals (spirit gear, back to school day, movie night, spirit weeks, etc). We also share sign-ups there for things like bringing dinner in for parent/teacher conferences, volunteering for events like field day, Panda Prowl, and the carnival. There will be polls to decide things like the next theme for Panda Prowl or what movie to select for movie night. We want all families to be better informed and connected. This helps your PTA better represent the wants/needs of our Panda Families. We do screen for spammers/fake accounts, so please answer the membership questions when you request to join!

Huffin' for Stuffin' Fun 2 Mile Run
Come join us on Thanksgiving morning for a 2-mile fun run! The event will be held at Mehaffey Park. We will have a fun course, music, and more! Come dressed in your best Turkey Day outfit. Every participant will receive a memorable campfire mug and bib. Shirts can be added on during registration. This event will benefit KidsPak. We will be accepting food donations to help fill their shelves and a portion of the proceeds will go to them too. Groups of 3 or more get a discount at registration and scholarships are available! We’re excited to announce the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration! This year’s theme, “A More Excellent Way, of Love,” honors Dr. King’s belief in justice, unity, and kindness. We invite Pre-K to 12th-grade students to participate in our art, writing, and (new) music contest, expressing their vision for a world filled with fairness and compassion.
Submit your entries by December 11, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Winners will be recognized at the Loveland MLK Community Celebration on January 16, 2025, where their work will be featured. Yearbooks are now available for purchase! They are currently available at $24 each. Prices go up to $30 each after December 31st. Go to https://ybpay.lifetouch.com/ and use code 14930925 to purchase a yearbook for the 2024/2025 school year. We will have a very limited number available for purchase in the office at the end of the year but those numbers are limited and the price will increase. Yearbooks will be delivered the last week of the school year.
As many of you have noticed, our new nutritional services program has menus that have a lot more detail, but are not user friendly. You can view the online menu here. Just be sure to change the school to "Ponderosa" and that you are on the "lunch" option, NOT the "ECD lunch"
