Student Expectations Reminders
We shared a video with all students last week to review a few important expectations at school. We have seen an increase in concern with a few school procedures and expectations and felt it necessary to communicate with our students again. We would appreciate your support in reinforcing these with your child, as well. Thank you for your continued support in fostering a positive learning environment at our school:
- Appropriate cell phone use: We have made great progress with our new cell phone guidelines this year. Cell phones are to be off and away during instructional time secured in the designated location set by the teacher. Cell phones use is not permitted when students leave the classroom to access the restrooms. Cell phones are to remain in their location within the classroom.
- Staying in class and following hallway expectations: Students leaving class must do so by signing out and using the pass designated for that specific classroom. Students are not permitted to disrupt other classes or wander hallways.
- Keeping our school clean, including bathrooms: We take great pride in how beautiful our school looks inside. All students are reminded to use bathrooms for their intended purpose, not for congregating or vandalism.
- Food and drink only in the cafeteria: All food and drink must be consumed in the cafeteria during breakfast and at lunch. Students may carry a water bottle during the school day. However, outside drinks such as starbucks, dunkin donuts etc. are not permitted during school hours. Additionally, delivery services such as door dash and grub hub will be turned away and not accepted for students. Parents may drop off lunches for their students using the current system of ringing the front door bell and leaving it on the cart inside the front door.
Students are not permitted to leave campus during the school day. All students must follow the attendance procedures if they are leaving or arriving to or from school during the school day.
We value your partnership and ask that you take a moment to discuss these expectations with your child to reinforce the message at home. Together, we can ensure Mt. Hebron remains a welcoming and productive place for everyone. We are community.

Families of High School Seniors: Prepare Now for the FAFSA
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is NOW available. We strongly encourage all families to complete the FAFSA.
