BHS December Newsletter
December 8th, 2023
Hello BHS Families!
As we approach the end of 2023, I extend my appreciation for the dedication of everyone involved in making Burlington High School a place of growth, learning, and positive experiences. May the spirit of unity and shared success continue into the future.
Although this time of year seems quick, the school keeps moving forward, while keeping the focus on learning. I am proud of how much our school community spreads joy during this time of the year. We have many programs that reflect the caring community culture that is growing through our population.
I wish you all a wonderful conclusion to the year and a restful winter break. Hopefully you create memories during this holiday season that will last a lifetime.

52 Students Inducted into NHS
On Wednesday, November 2nd, we had the honor of inducting 52 outstanding students into the Burlington High School's National Honor Society (NHS) Chapter. These individuals have exemplified Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character, and their dedication has truly shone through.
We celebrate these students for their hard work, their commitment to excellence, and their achievements. We have no doubt that they will continue to thrive, set personal goals, and make a positive impact on their organizations and communities.
Professional Development for BHS Teachers
During in-service on Wednesday, November 15th, teachers engaged in creating rigorous lessons aligned to the school improvement goal of increasing our overall ACT scores. The staff learned more about checking for students’ understanding in order to better prepare the students for success.
