PLAN AHEAD FOR DROP OFF AND DISMISSAL
FKAA started a project that will have rolling closures. Please make sure you give yourself enough time in the morning to drop off your student (s) and in the afternoon to pick them up. You may drop them off as early as 7:20am to make sure they arrive on time. Also, there may be some bus stops that will temporarily be out of service while a section is being worked on. Below is the message from FKAA:
Update: FKAA work to resume 3/9 at Tavernier Creek Bridge. A new traffic control plan has been approved by the Florida Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Monroe County School District, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Details at https://bit.ly/PlantationKeyProject

HOWL AT THE MOON WINNER!
Eileen Jacobson won the auction to be "Deputy SRO" for a day! She answered calls on the radio, inspected doors and learned how to use the buttons and gadgets on the police car! She was very busy monitoring the school and keeping us safe! great job Eileen!!!!

STUDENT OF THE WEEK K-2
Congratulations to Alexis Sanchez for being selected as my Student of the Week! Alexis is an exemplary student who consistently models the IBElieve expectations.
He comes to school prepared and ready to learn each day. Alexis is empowered, always putting forth his best effort into everything he does. He is respectful to both his teachers and classmates, and he consistently shows kindness to his friends, earning the admiration of his peers.
By following all school rules, Alexis contributes to creating a safe and positive learning environment for everyone.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK 3-5
Our final 5th grade student of the week is David Diaz Arteaga. He is a very kind, responsible, well-behaved, and talented student. He has worked very hard this year finishing as one of the top students of his class. He is very well-mannered, and treats everybody with dignity and respect. It was a pleasure having David as a student this year. Keep it up David...you are awesome!
