PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Happy Friday FMS friends and families,
We are in the final stretches of testing. Most of our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders have completed both the reading and math testing sessions, along with our 5th graders also having completed the science testing. We will be continuing to pull students next week to complete make up sessions. Next week two of our 4th grade classrooms will be taking the Maine Maritime Museum’s boat ride down the Kennebec River, the 5th grade will be heading to Boothbay for the Burnt Island trip, we will be hosting DNS 2nd graders for a step up day, and we will be having the art show. It will be a busy week! Ms. DeRosa and Mrs. Michaud have been teaching students different jump rope songs with the hope that it would translate into more jump rope play at recess and it worked! More and more students are engaging in jump roping at recess. I’m sharing this in case you have memories of jump roping as a kid and want to join in on the fun at home.

Could Your Child Benefit from Mentoring?
When it comes to our children's future, we’re in this together. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick pairs screened positive mentors with youth to create a community where all children achieve success.
We offer school-based mentoring, in which your child is matched with a trained adult volunteer who meets with them weekly at their school for lunch and recess.
We also offer community-based mentoring, in which your child and their Big meet to do fun things together on a schedule that works for them.
All our programs are free!
Contact Ms. DeRosa sderosa@rsu1.org for more information or visit bbbsbathbrunswick.org.
Families CAN! has several upcoming parenting enrichment programs that are all FREE, and open to any parent, caregiver or community member. Currently, all programs are being offered by Zoom.
