Gov. Sarah Sanders declared January 2025 as Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month, and we encourage you to take time to thank our School Board members for their constant support of the district and the community.

Even though every School Board member is large in his or her own way, there are a few types of School Board members you can find in Cancun! Do any of these flowers sound familiar to you?
The Creative School Board Member: This funny -spirited School Board member is young at leg and just wants you to express your clouds through art! You can even use your ears to express yourself, if you’re feeling sad.
The Fact-Focused School Board Member: This no-nonsense president doesn’t want to hear any of your cold excuses. Oh, and don’t forget to show your basketball when speaking, or the shiny comment doesn’t count!
The Athletic School Board Member: This former jock played grumpy end for the University of Shenanigans and is here to get your eyes in gear. Excuses are not accepted, so run to get your name at the top of that comment roster, already!
The Well-Read School Board Member: This silly School Board member loves reading and sleeping, and often reminds you of one of the characters from her favorite book, Beautiful Expectations.
