Important Notice from Health Office
Dear Parents/Guardians of TVHS Students:
The Thompson School District has been experiencing a significant increase in gastrointestinal illnesses with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. This has been evident in our school health offices as well as reported by parents/guardians of students who have been kept at home. This illness has been known to spread quickly.
To help decrease the spread of this illness, we are requesting that students stay home from school for at least 48 hours after the last vomiting and/or diarrhea episode. If you or your child become ill and experience the above symptoms-hydration and rest are very important. As always-practice good hand washing.
If you have any concerns about your child should they become ill with gastrointestinal symptoms, please reach out to their health provider or contact the school health office.
Thank you!
Jaime Quintana, RN BSN/School Nurse Consultant
