The Bluejay
November 2024 edition
October was a busy month, and we know November and December will be equally busy. As we continue our journey through the school year, I want to thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Together, we are creating a positive and nurturing environment where each student can thrive, learn, and grow. Please know that our doors are always open to you, and we welcome your feedback, questions, and ideas. Let’s continue to make this year one of growth, discovery, and joy for our students.
Thank you for taking the time to attend our recent parent-teacher conferences and for being such a valuable part of our school community. We had a remarkable 94% participation rate this year.
Your dedication to your child's growth and success means so much to us, and it sends a powerful message to students that you value their educational journey. If you missed the opportunity to meet with your child's teacher, please reach out to them to schedule a conference.
We loved seeing so many of you at the Fall Carnival—what a fantastic evening of fun, connection, and laughter! Your support makes all the difference, and we’re grateful for the strong partnership we share in helping our students and Leader In Me program thrive. Thank you to everyone who attended, sent in donations, and bought raffle tickets. Your support from the Carnival will help supply our student and adult action teams with the necessary materials and supplies they need for most of the year. We can't wait to share a night of FREE family fun with you again in the Spring.

Habit of the Month
November's Habit of the Month is Habit 2: Begin With The End In Mind. This habit encourages students to envision their goals and make a plan to reach them. By starting with a clear vision of where they want to go—whether it’s achieving a grade, completing a project, or being a kind friend—children learn to make choices that align with their desired outcomes. It teaches responsibility, foresight, and purposeful action.
You can support your child by discussing their goals and helping them set achievable steps. Together, we can build a foundation for lifelong planning and goal-setting skills.

Elementary Library Readers of the Month
Every month, with the help of their amazing teachers, we will choose readers of the month here in the library! We will choose one student from each grade K-5. This student will receive a Reader Of The Month Certificate, get to pick a prize from our treasure box and they will get their picture taken and put on our bulletin board outside the library. This is a fun way to keep the kids interested in reading and they have been very excited about it! We are excited to share them with you!
Share The Love Action Team
Hello from the K-2 Share the Love student action team! We will be collecting donations now through Nov 15th for an active duty military Christmas package! We have a box in prek-2 office for any donations. Some ideas we have gotten are individual Gatorade drink mixes, beef jerky sticks, cookies, trail mix, Chex mix, Cheeze its, just any kind of snacks! Thanks again for supporting our troops!
