ROISD Board approves call for a school bond election
The Red Oak ISD Board approved the administrative recommendation for a school bond election to be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The propositions on the bond include a career technical education building at the high school, a third HS gym, a new elementary school, and new elementary playgrounds at all five current schools. Two additional propositions include upgrades to Goodloe Stadium and a sub-varsity venue at Red Oak High School.
The bonds will handle growth for the projected 12-15 years and provide more opportunities for students, all without an increase in the tax rate to the community. To learn more, visit www.roisdbond.com
Safety Week
This week is Spring Safety Week at ROISD and we will focus on reinforcing the importance of a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff. Throughout the week, we will highlight key safety protocols, conduct emergency preparedness drills, and share valuable resources with students, parents, and staff. Safety is a shared responsibility, and this week provides an excellent opportunity to review best practices and strengthen our collective commitment to keeping our schools safe. Join us in the continued effort to make safety a top priority at ROISD!

February is Black History Month, a time to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and influence of African Americans in history. Throughout the month, we will honor the legacy of those who have shaped our nation’s history and continue to inspire progress and unity. Join us in recognizing and learning more about the individuals, events, and milestones that have left a mark on our society. Together, we celebrate diversity and the strength it brings to our community. Be sure to also check with your campus to see what activities are planned for the month!
Holocaust Remembrance Week
Red Oak ISD observes Holocaust Remembrance Week as a time to reflect on one of history’s darkest periods and to honor the memory of the millions who suffered and lost their lives during the Holocaust. The U.S. Congress established Days of Remembrance to educate students about the Holocaust and encourage them to recognize the value of every human life while promoting awareness to prevent future atrocities.
