HV Update 6-6-25
A message from your principal, Mrs. Stager
These weeks in June are busy! We started the week off with the Hollyrock Brain Challenge, compliments of the HSA, the Quidditch game Wednesday, Kindergarten Orientation and Fifth Grade Band concert Thursday, and pep rally today. We also squeezed in the opportunity to cheer on participants in the Law Enforcement Torch Run! Thank you to everyone that made these events possible.
Next week, our 5th Graders have PV Park Day, we have the kindergarten show, class parties, and more! So rest up this weekend in preparation for our final full week of school this year.
There are early dismissal days the last two days of the school year on June 17th and 18th. School will be dismissed at 12:40 P.M. No lunch will be served.
Best,
Allison

5th Grade Clap Out
Each year, on the last day of school, we "Clap Out" our fifth graders as they exit the school for the final time as Hillview students. The fifth graders will make their way through the hallways before exiting through the front door. We request that all K-2 parents that usually wait by the front doors leave space for the fifth grade parents. Please allow the fifth grade parents to be close to the front doors to be able to see their children and get pictures. The fifth graders will be dismissed first and the other classes will not exit the building until the Clap Out is over.
Fifth grade parents - please arrive to the front entrance by 12:25 P.M. We will begin the clap out around 12:30 P.M. to allow the students time to move through the hallways and be dismissed before everyone else. We'd like the 5th graders to exit the building 5 minutes before the rest of the classes dismiss at 12:40 P.M.

Finally- Summer is on the horizon! For important summer safety tips including sun safety, bike safety, pool safety and more... click here.
With all of the warm weather allergies, it could bed be hard to determine when to keep your child home. Follow these guidelines:
- Keep your child home if he/she does not feel well enough to participate in normal activities, even if fever-free.
- Keep your child home until fever-free for 24 hours without the need to take fever-reducing medication (fever is defined 100.4 and above).
- If nausea/vomiting- keep your child home until at least 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting.
- If your child has strep throat- keep your child home until at least 12 hours have passed since the start of antibiotic treatment and fever-free for 24 hours without the need to take fever-reducing medication and feeling well enough to participate in normal activities.
- If your child is Covid-19 positive, keep home and call your school nurse for the latest guidelines.
- When reporting an absence, please report symptoms and any official diagnoses.
- Obtain a doctor's note if your child is sick for 3 or more days.
- Remind your child about practicing good hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette
