Hello Rees Parents and Students,
We are excited to get back to the groove of school and we miss our Eagles! This is going to be an exciting and landmark year as Rees Elementary is celebrating 120 years since it was established back in 1904. It is amazing to be part of such an amazing and historical school in Spanish Fork and Nebo School District. I look forward to begin my 9th year as the Principal of Rees Elementary and to work alongside the best teachers and staff. But more importantly, I look forward to seeing the best students SOAR this school year!
We still have a few more weeks of summer and we want you to enjoy the rest of the break. Here is some information you need and calendar items to add to your calendar.
Teacher Assignments:
Parents and students will be able to see teacher assignments on August 5th through Infinite Campus. For help downloading the Infinite Campus app, CLICK HERE. Class assignments are final once they are made public. We do not take teacher requests and avoid making changes after August 5th. The window to complete a student consideration has closed. If you were unable to make a consideration or provide information for me to make a class placement for your student, please email me or visit in person. The considerations should be information to help your student be successful in the classroom. We can't guarantee the placement will be exactly what you are hoping, but it will be one that helps your student succeed. Again, we will not take teacher requests. All of our teachers are amazing and love kids!
Open House and First Day of School:
We invite all students and parents to meet their teacher and visit the classroom on
Monday, August 12th from 3:00-5:00. This will be a great opportunity to meet each other and feel comfortable to start the school year.
School will begin on Wednesday, August 14th. Students will need to be in their classroom by 9:15 every day. School Hours can be found at rees.nebo.edu.

As you may know, we recently went through another boundary change. For students that are in a walking area, please read through our Safe Route Plan. If you are unsure if you are a walking student or in a bus area, you can visit the Bus Route Finder to see if you are on a bus and to see where the bus stops will be and the times for pick up and drop off. Transportation may still be making updates, but hopefully by the first week of August everything will be solidified. For those that are open enrolled to Rees Elementary, parents are responsible for students getting to school safely and on time. Because our boundary is now east of Highway 51, there will be no crossing guard by the round about.
Back to School Night Carnival:
We are excited for Back to School Night this year because we will be celebrating 120 Years of Rees Elementary on Monday, August 26th from 5:00-7:00. This is our school fundraiser night as well. All proceeds will go toward school field trips, student incentives and supplies for the school year. Please bring your family and invite any Rees Elementary Alumni to celebrate 120 Years!
