Family Dine-Out - PokeWorks, Thursday, September 19th, All Day
Come join us for our first Family Dine-Out of the year! Pokeworks will donate 25% of your purchases to our PTSA. What a great way to support our PTSA and not have to cook! Click here to help us secure our dine out. We are in need of 15 supporters. You can participate in this fundraiser by:

Student Advisory Committee- The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) was founded in 2018 to better connect with students related to key District Initiatives. Through the Committee’s work, the District is able to learn more about students’ perspectives and incorporate them into IUSD communications and programs. Below is a brief overview of the SAC.
Vision:
● To understand students’ experiences by talking directly with a diverse group of students.
● Provide students an opportunity to have an active voice and role in their learning.
● Provide a forum to receive candid feedback from students about IUSD student-related initiatives and services.
We need 3 students from CHS and IVA to represent our schools. Interested? Email Ms. Yadon at laurenyadon@iusd.org for an application.

OPERATION SCHOOL BELL- Assistance League of Irvine’s largest philanthropy is Operation School Bell, a free, confidential clothing service for children in need. Click HERE for more information and to apply.
IUSD College and Career Fair- All students and families are invited to attend! October 28th from 5-7pm at University High School. Click HERE for more information.
Parent and Family Engagement- The IUSD Parent and Family Engagement Team strives to support IUSD families through parent education, resources, and connections. We value our partnership with our families and hope to provide timely and relevant content as well as programming that meets the needs of our community. Click HERE for September workshops.
Bus Pass- The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is excited to announce the continuation of their “Youth Ride Free” promotional bus pass program. This free youth pass allows youth ages 6 to 18 to ride all OC fixed-route buses every day for free. For more information regarding the program visit: OCbus.com/YouthRideFree. To participate in the program complete a new Parent Request Form, available using the below link, printed forms are also available in the front office. Return the completed and signed form to the front office to be issued a purple/orange youth bus pass for the 2023-24 school year. Parent Request Form: OCTA.net/YouthRequest

High School Information
High School Voter Education Week- September 16-27 is high school voter education week. Students will learn about the voting process and participate in a statewide student-mock election on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 with thousands of other students around the state.
