All that said...
The same information from BGInfo is simply displayed there when students log-in (we only removed this from staff because anyone with multiple monitors had issues with their backgrounds, otherwise...)
In case you're interested...
Our recommendation is to include the computer name of the computer that needs help EVERY time you send in a request for help. Oftentimes, we can most quickly access the machine, remotely, and solve problems simply having that information.
90% of problems, in general, tend to be due to software issues and remote access allows us to be available nearly instantly to handle most of those types of scenarios.
I can't promise that it will ALWAYS make things faster but, over time, it will be worth your time to make this 3 second action a habit! THANKS!!
