Below are some links to a variety of STEM lessons you can use in your classroom as everyone gets back into the swing of things. These are great activities to help build classroom community, collaboration, and other much-needed 21st Century Skills. Each one can be adapted to fit your needs.

We are excited to share that Wayne-Westland's first PBL Cohort (Project Based Learning) has begun! This group will help create more applicable and hands on ways of learning in the classroom while covering an array of standards simultaneously. (No Silo Theory) 35 educators in our district will be on this journey together! We are so excited to see where this leads us!

* DNR Salmon in the classroom (a partnership between classrooms, STEM Center, and DNR)

* Underwater Rover classrooms. Two teachers will be having students create underwater rovers to perform tasks.

*LEGO Education. Teachers across the district will be utilizing LEGO kits to teach coding and core standards across the curriculum. (Preschool-8th grade)

*Deloitte Smart Factory Rovers. Teachers in middle school and at Walker will be building circuit rovers and coding them to perform tasks that will be implemented across the curriculum. Deloitte also shared fabulous PBL units. Contact me if you want to look at some of them.
