Upcoming MCA Tests
Dear Coon Rapids Middle School Parents,
As your child prepares for their upcoming MCA test, it's crucial to ensure they have a smooth and productive night before. Encourage them to wind down early, engaging in calming activities such as reading or light studying. A dinner and a good night's sleep will help them feel refreshed and focused the next day. Remind them to charge their Chromebooks the night before, ensuring they're ready to go in the morning. Also, make sure they eat breakfast the morning of the test, which is always available at school. Lastly, offer words of encouragement and remind them that their best effort is what truly matters. With proper preparation and a positive mindset, they'll be well-equipped to tackle the test with confidence.

WEB: Where Everybody Belongs!
The WEB program, or Where Everybody Belongs, is a middle school program that welcomes 6th graders and helps with the transition to middle school. It is built on the idea that all students can succeed and that all students deserve to feel comfortable!
WEB is looking for 7th graders who will be attending CRMS next year. WEB leaders are approachable, responsible and looking for ways to help at CRMS. As a WEB leader you would get to make new friendships, greet new 6th graders over the summer, enjoy an ice cream with 6th grade COREs, role model for new students and play gym games with 6th graders.
WEB students must be able to attend training days to be a part of WEB:
August 19 - 20, 8am - noon
August 21, 7:30am - 1pm
Interested 7th graders can pick up a paper application from Ms. Zimowicz in room 112 or can print the attached application and turn in!
Applications are due by Friday, April 12th.

7th Grade Immunizations
Minnesota state law requires all students to be immunized before entrance to 7th grade. Your student could need one or more vaccinations or a legal exemption to meet these requirements. You may check your student’s immunization records in AH Connect. Be aware that seventh grade students should have a Tdap booster after the age of 7years, 3 polio, 2 MMR, 2 Varicella (or medical provider proof of chickenpox), 3 hepatitis B, and one meningitis shots to enter 7th grade. Any entry on the shot record of 1/1/1900 indicates that your child had a case of the disease and does not need the vaccine. Please check with your school health service department or private medical provider if you are unsure which immunizations your child is lacking.
