Field Flash
August 30, 2024
Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
We hope you are having a great week! As a reminder, we do not have school on Monday in honor of Labor Day. We hope you enjoy the three-day weekend! Thank you to our PTO for planning a very successful back-to-school Bash last night. We appreciate all their hard work. If you enjoyed the event, please consider volunteering with our PTO. It takes a village to plan these events!
A few reminders:
- Please follow the rules of the road when driving for drop off - our school is in a neighborhood and we want to be sure we are being good neighbors with our parking and driving!
- Please no dogs on school property at drop off or pick up! Thank you!
- Please be sure you call the main office as early in the day as possible if your child is not taking the bus home.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Courtney Goodman
Principal

Ticket Codes will be delivered with the bulk picture package order approximately three weeks post Picture Day.

Opt In to Text Messages from D64
District 64 continues to utilize many different platforms to ensure you have important information delivered to you in the most convenient way. One of those ways is through our SMS Text Messaging Service. Getting messages delivered to your mobile device is a helpful tool, and District 64 is reenergizing our efforts to bring this to you. Starting on Monday, October 31st, you might periodically receive text messages from either the District or your child’s school.
These alerts will be info about events, school closings, safety, and more. That said, our SMS Text Messaging Service will be used supplementally in our communication efforts and does not replace any school emails or calls you are receiving.
How to receive text messages:
You must opt-in to receive text messages. To do so, you will need to text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587.
If you’d like to no longer receive District 64 text messages, you have to send “Stop” to 67587.

Field Follies is a student-written and -performed show. Many current 5th graders worked at the end of their 4th grade year to write the script for the show performed by Field students of all ages. Kindergarteners have a special role by being in the kindergarten-only opening song.
If your child loves to shine on stage, or just wants to gain some confidence with a fun and supportive group, please consider signing them up for Field Follies.
Practices will take place once a week after school beginning the week of Monday, September 2, and running through the show dates. Students can sign up with a friend, but we will prioritize schedule availability, so please coordinate for a day of the week that will work for your child and their friends.
Show dates are the weekend of November 8–10, 2024. The show will be double cast, so your child(ren) will either be in the Red cast which performs Friday night at 7:00 PM and Saturday matinee at 2:00 PM – or the Blue cast which performs Saturday night at 7:00 PM and Sunday matinee at 2:00 PM. Please make sure your child is available for the entire weekend prior to registering them to be in the show as we cannot guarantee which cast/shows they will be assigned.
- Kindergarteners will only be in the show opener (consisting of a group song) for the cast they are assigned.
- Aside from kindergarteners, siblings will be placed in the same scene unless scheduling conflicts prohibit them from being together.
Registration ends Tuesday, September 10. For questions or assistance, please e-mail FieldFollies2024@gmail.com.
