PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Thank you so much for coming out earlier this week for our Parent/Teacher meetings. We always appreciate the opportunity to connect with families about how things are going at school. If you were unable to connect with your child’s teacher for whatever reason, we invite you to reach out via an email, call, or Seesaw message.

Thank you to the MES PAC for providing some delicious food for staff during these longer days of meetings.

As we head into December, we have many things to look forward to at school. Some of these include the Kindergarten field trip to the tree farm, playing in the snow, classroom activities, and our concerts later on this month. We hope to see many of you there!



CHRISTMAS CONCERTS

Kindergarten Christmas concert is Tuesday, December 17 at 10 am.

Grade 3 & 4 Christmas concert is Wednesday, December 18 at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm

(Dress code for Grades 3 & 4 are black bottoms and white tops)

**Both concerts will be in the school gym.**

MES COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS

Thank you for your generous donations to the Helping Hands Community Christmas. Over 200 toys were donated. Thank you!!!

SKATING

Grades 1-4 will be going skating again on December 13th and 16th. Schedule will come at a later date.

STUDENT FEES OVERDUE

The school fees for 2024-2025 were due at the end of September. Please pay online on Parent Portal or bring exact cash or a cheque payable to MES to the school office.

Our lost & found is overflowing! All unclaimed items will be donated to MCC at the end of December.

Extreme Weather

In severe weather conditions, the school division closes the school and stops the buses. An announcement is made on radio stations 95.1 FM, 96.7 FM, and AM 1250 between 7-8 am, as well as on www.steinbachonline.com and as a bulletin on the HSD website www.hsd.ca

Bus Delays

When the buses are running late, there will be a Bus Delay Bulletin posted on HSD website. You can also call the Transportation Department at (204) 320-2347.

Bus Loop Procedures

Just a reminder that there is no stopping or driving in the bus loop. This includes student pick ups and drop offs. Many children use that door when going out for recess and we need to keep the bus loop clear for safety reasons.
