PBIS Updates - Behavior Rotations
This week, students participated in behavior expectation rotations to ensure that they are familiar with Breeze Hill's schoolwide expectations and understand how to follow them in different areas of the school. These rotations took place at eight different stations, including key areas like the office, hallway, playground (blacktop and field), cafeteria, MPR, dismissal, and more. By rotating through these various locations, students were able to learn about the expected behaviors in each setting, while also reinforcing the school's core values and pillars.
The purpose of these rotations is to provide students with a clear understanding of what is expected of them in different school environments. It helps to create consistency and fosters a positive, respectful, and safe school culture. By engaging with staff members and practicing these expectations, students are better prepared to meet behavioral standards and contribute to a positive school experience for everyone.
Caught Being Good Cards
Our new Caught Being Good Card system is in place!
When students earn cards for following schoolwide expectations, students place the “Caught Being Good” cards in their grade level opportunity drawing bucket on a cart located in the MPR during their recess or lunch.
Five winners will drawn from each grade and announced during Friday’s Morning announcements. Students pick prizes during morning recess at front desk.
All cards not selected will be returned to their teachers where then the classes collectively can earn rewards when 100, 200, 300, and 400 cards are collected.
Thanks to Mrs. Freeland (Admin Secretary) for creating our CBG buckets!

PILLARS OF ACHIEVEMENT
As we approach the start of the 2024-25 school year, we request your continued collaboration in reinforcing our expectations around our Pillars and positive behaviors on campus. Our goal is to create a safe space where all students can flourish, learn, and develop. By working together, we can ensure a positive and nurturing environment for everyone.
Here is a reminder of our Pillars for positive behavior:
1. Be Welcoming - say hello and greet others on campus; be accepting of others; share materials; and be a good listener.
2. Do No Harm - put your materials away; take care of your materials; throw trash away; keep hands and feet to yourself..
3. Use Choice Words - wait your turn to speak; use quiet/inside voices; respond kindly; and use polite language when speaking to adults.
4. Never Too Late to Learn - follow directions the first time; help others; use your best effort; and be prepared to Learn.
These 4 Pillars , when followed purposefully, lead us to the last pillar which makes us THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE!
As partners, we work together in empowering our students to make positive choices and start the school year on a high note. We wish all of our students, staff, and families a successful start to the 2024-2025 school year.
