mySAEBRS Screener
We're introducing a new screening tool for middle school students to support their social and emotional development. In addition to the FastBridge SAEBRS screener used by teachers, we will now also use mySAEBRS. This tool was designed as a universal screening tool to be used in conjunction with other data and allow for students to have a voice. It consists of 20 total questions and will be taken during XLT time once a trimester. Additional information can be found at https://www.illuminateed.com/. If you have any questions or prefer that your child not participate, please contact Kristin Schmidt, Director of Social Emotional Learning, at klschmidt@d47.org by Friday, September 13, 2024. If we do not hear from you, we will assume your child has permission to participate in this program.
Spirit Wear Sale
Time to show your Viking pride! The Bernotas Spirit Wear sale is open NOW until Tuesday, September 24. Go to www.ShopCottonandInk.com and select Bernotas Fall 2024. The password is 2024Vikings. PTO Meeting Tomorrow
The Bernotas PTO has its first meeting this Wednesday, September 11th at 6:00 p.m. in the Bernotas Middle School Library. Meetings are quick and informative, and they are a great way to meet other parents and learn what’s happening at RBMS. We will also be drawing the raffle for the Gatorade bottle stuffed with CASH for those who donated to the “No Fuss Fundraiser”. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!
No Fuss Fundraiser
Do you have $5-$10 to donate to the Bernotas PTO? Our “No Fuss Fundraiser” is not going as projected as we kick off a new year. We are at $1,500 of our $10,000 goal, and have had only 20 families participate out of over 700 students. We need ALL families to give what they can to help the PTO achieve our goals to provide for RBMS this school year. Thank you for your support!
What does the Bernotas PTO fund with your donation?
Student & Classroom Materials • Field Trips • 8th Grade Awards • Sports Teams (season-end parties & uniforms) • Viking Pride Award • PBIS Program Incentives • Teacher Appreciation • 23/24 Purchases: Library Furniture, Spirit Wiggle Men, Lobby Window Safety Decals, Eclipse Viewing Glasses, 8th Grade Yearbooks, Veterans Day T-Shirts, and More
Note: Zeffy is a free online platform, but you must input $0 for the Contribution amount. Cash and Check made out to Bernotas PTO are also accepted. Paper forms are available in the RBMS lobby.
