We look forward to seeing families that can attend!!
BusZone App
The BusZone app is a mobile app that allows parents, guardians, and scholars to track the location of a school bus in real-time. The app also provides notifications when a bus is approaching or leaving a school or when there are delays or substitutions.
To get started, follow these five steps:
Download the BusZone app on your mobile device (iOS, Android).
Enter the school access code: 3078TLA.
Search for your scholar’s bus route number.
Enter your scholar’s name and unique six-digit scholar ID (Can be found in Skyward Family Access under the Student Information section).
Set up alert zones for notifications.
When your scholar’s bus enters an alert zone, you’ll receive notifications by email or text.
This flyer (English Version, Spanish Version) includes all the necessary information along with a convenient QR code to access the user guide. Additional information can be found on the BusZone Support Page, including a How-To video in the BusZone Bus Tracking section.

Girls on the Run Superstar
We were lucky enough to have one of our TLA scholars and her mom featured in a Girls On the Run of South Central Wisconsin article!! Natalie and her mom talk about how the program helped develop perseverance, confidence and determination, not to mention reaching goals of being physically fit. Ms. Rutledge is our Girls on the Run Club Advisor and is looking forward to kicking off another season this spring!!
ParentSquare App
As a reminder, TLA has moved to utilizing ParentSquare as a communication tool between the school and our families. We can easily communicate in our home languages utilizing posts (large group), individal messages or voice calls. If you haven't downloaded the app yet, please consider doing so. It is available via iOS and Android.
Speak Up Speak Out (SUSO)
TLA staff will be presenting information to our scholars over the next week related to Speak Up Speak Out or SUSO. While we encourage our scholars to contact a trusted adult at TLA when school is in session, SUSO is available for scholars to use outside of school hours. SUSO is available across the state of WI and is a threat reporting system that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is free to all. Scholars, parents, and community members can submit information about a school safety concern by downloading the SUSO app (Android and iOS), visiting speakup.widoj.gov, by calling 1-800-MYSUSO-1, or by texting “SUSO” to 738477. SUSO Resource Center staff respond to reports and deploy a local response by communicating directly with school administrators; school counselors, psychologists, and social workers; and at times, law enforcement partners.
To learn more about the SUSO Resource Center and how to report safety concerns, visit speakup.widoj.gov or find them on social media @speakupwi.

Attendance Corner
Attendance Contact Information
We have had a strong start this September with our scholar attendance! Our current year-to-date schoolwide percentage is 97%! Good attendance starts at home, so thank you, families, for getting your scholars to school and your communication! We have noticed it dipping below the 95% goal the past few days, however, so just a friendly reminder to please communicate any absences to the main office that morning if you know your child is going to be out. One idea is to save our TLA attendance phone line to your phone contacts. That way if an unexpected absence comes up, you don’t have to search for the number.
*The TLA Attendance line is: (608) 690-5165*
For those who prefer email, you may also email us at: attendance@tlabeloit.com.
If scholars reach too many absences, unexcused days, or tardies, this could result in loss of TLA privileges and/or contact from Administration/Scholar Services to develop a proactive plan.

Message From the Deans
Mr. Anderson
Mr. Cieplewski
Dear TLA Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well! As we continue working together to provide the best possible education and support for our scholars, we’d like to share some important information about our communication efforts and how you can stay connected. At our school, ParentSquare is the main platform we use to communicate with families, share important updates, and build a strong, trusting community. Whether it's upcoming events, schedule changes, or school announcements, ParentSquare keeps you informed about your child's education and school life in real-time. Unfortunately, we have noticed that not all families have yet downloaded the app, which means many parents may be missing important information. Here’s where we stand:
Elementary School: Only 53% of our elementary parents have downloaded ParentSquare.
Middle School: Just 50% of middle school parents are connected.
High School: Only 33% of our high school parents have downloaded the app. One of our core values is building a trusting and transparent community between families and the school. We believe that open, effective communication is key to fostering that trust, and ParentSquare is a vital tool in helping us do that. By staying connected through the app, we ensure that you have the information you need to support your child’s educational journey.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ryan Anderson, ES Dean of Scholars
Mr. Robert Cieplewski, MS/HS Dean of Scholars
