January 2025
Happy New Year Seymour Families!
I hope all of you had an opportunity to spend some quality time with your loved ones over our Holiday Break. As we begin the month of January your students will be finishing up their first semester. Report cards will be sent home on Monday, January 27th.
The start of a new year brings with it renewed energy and enthusiasm and I know that the Seymour staff is eager to work with all of you hand in hand to ensure a successful and fulfilling educational experience for your children.
As we move into the second semester, I would like to stress the importance of your involvement in your child's learning experience at home. Setting aside time for homework, engaging in meaningful conversations about their day, and cultivating a love for reading are integral aspects of reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom. Your encouragement and support play a significant role in shaping your child's attitude toward learning.
Thank you for working together with us as we continue to try and pursue the absolute best learning experience for your child. Here's to a successful and rewarding second semester, filled with accomplishments, discoveries, and joy!

Thank you for your input!
Thank you to the parents who completed the family survey in November! We greatly appreciate your feedback. Overall, the results were very favorable and positive. The areas where we scored the highest were Institutional Environment (building well-maintained, classrooms clean and organized, etc.), School Safety (feeling secure in the school environment, etc.), and Teaching and Learning (high standards, promoting academic success, etc.). We are grateful that parents recognize the tremendous pride our staff takes in maintaining a safe, positive, and high-expectation learning environment. Thank you! The area where we scored the lowest, though still a good overall score, was Parent Involvement. As a result, we will continue to explore and offer opportunities for parents to engage more actively in our school community. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Please know that we carefully review this data as we strive for continuous improvement.
