Dear FCS Parents, Guardians, Families and Community Members,
As we continue to strive for excellence in education and in our faith community, we are grateful to have such an amazing group of students, families, and staff here in the Fresno Catholic School System. Together, we are building an environment where our children can learn, grow, and thrive. The application process for new students for the 25/26 school year opens today for the schools in the Fresno Catholic School System. We know that word of mouth is one of the most powerful ways to share the good news about our schools, and we’re reaching out to ask for your help. If you love what we’re doing here—whether it’s our caring and dedicated teachers, innovative curriculum, enriching extracurricular activities, or our strong sense of community—please share your positive experiences with friends, neighbors, and colleagues who may be considering school options for their children.
Here are a few ways you can help us spread the word:
- Social Media: Share a post on your social media accounts about why your family loves their school.
- Personal Recommendations: If you know of any families who are exploring school options, invite them to come visit our campuses or attend one of our upcoming open houses.
- School Events: Invite new families to attend a school event or volunteer alongside you to get a sense of our vibrant community.
- Testimonials: Share a brief testimonial about your positive experience that we can feature on our website or in our promotional materials.
Your support makes a world of difference, and with your help, we can continue to grow and welcome new families into the Fresno Catholic School community. If you know of anyone who might be interested, feel free to direct them to our admissions team or forward this letter. Please note that 6th grade students currently attending St. Helen's or St. Anthony's schools, and 8th grade students currently attending Holy Cross Junior High do not need to apply to Holy Cross or San Joaquin Memorial. As schools within the system, you will enroll rather than apply. Additional information on enrollment will be forthcoming.
Thank you for being part of the Fresno Catholic School family and for helping us shine a light on the wonderful things happening here. Together, we can continue to build an even brighter future for our children.
Autumn Blessings,
Pamela Lyons
FCS President

GOOD NEWS FROM OUR SCHOOLS
Impressive SAT/ACT Scores at SJM
Service Learning at Holy Cross Junior High
This past week Holy Cross held a sock drive to donate to Live Again Fresno. This organization assists families in need, especially children. Students also created cards for the children during project time on Friday. Holy Cross Saints are focusing on giving back and doing more service projects on campus. We are thankful for the opportunity from Live Again Fresno. Both the socks and cards are being given out in the coming weeks as the weather changes. GO SAINTS!

Successful Fall Festival at St. Helen's
Saint Helen’s School celebrated their Fall Festival on September 22nd and it was a blessed day that joined the church and school communities! The Knights cooked tacos, the kids enjoyed games and the bounce house, the SHS Cheer squad made their debut, and a great time was had by all!
Parent Teacher conferences were held this past week and though the weather is not fully cooperating, we are well into Fall activities! We will be blessing the pets this week and the Fall sports season is in full swing! We have added Cross Country back and had over a dozen kids come out!
September Survey Results
