2024-2025 District Annual Plan
Fremont School District 79 is entering the second year of its four-year Strategic Plan in 2024-2025. This year's Annual Goals reflect the Strategic Plan Year 2 priorities. While there are actions and outcomes for each of the 12 strategic objectives, prioritized objectives are marked with more robust action plans and outcomes.
The administrative team utilized feedback from the Fremont community, including the Board of Education, as well as best practices, to prioritize areas of focus. Some particular areas of focus this year include literacy, social-emotional health and wellness, and staff professional development. Each objective has an action plan, intended product(s)/deliverable(s), and expected outcomes as measured by data/metrics. To view the 2024-2025 Annual Plan, please click below.
"Away for the Day" Initiative
As we work together to create a focused and respectful atmosphere in our classrooms and throughout the school, we want to share an important update regarding our personal electronic device policy. We are excited to introduce the "Away for the Day" expectation, which will support our Portable Electronic Equipment policy.
Away for the Day – We kindly ask students to keep their cell phones turned off and stored in their Chromebook bag and/or sleeve during the school day. Smartwatches should be set to school mode and used only to tell time.

Fremont's Olympic Moment
Did you know Fremont had a connection to this year's Olympic Games in Paris? Lincoln Early Learning Center paraprofessional Sherly Guest is an avid runner who has competed in over 100 marathons across the world. Nearly a year ago, Sherly was selected as one of 20,024 runners worldwide to participate in the first open marathon held on the same route as the men's and women's Olympic marathon events. Congratulations to Sherly on this tremendous opportunity and accomplishment!
