Policy 321.1 & Rule: Accommodating Sincerely Held Religious Beliefs
We want to remind everyone that as a public school district we have a responsibility to remain sensitive to and provide accommodations for students participating in religious holidays and observances. Please take a few moments as you are planning for the coming year to review the linked Board Policy 323.1 and Administrative Rule 323.1 and be sure that important review and test dates, and other student activities and special events comply with the expectations of the Board Policy and accompanying rule.
Safety Enhancement - Narcan Boxes Installed
In accordance with Board Policy 443.41: Emergency Administration of Opioid Antagonist for Opioid-Related Drug Overdose, boxes containing Narcan have been installed in each of our buildings, including Lydell School & Community Center.
Emergency Response Teams have received training from the District Nurse, should there be a need to administer the opioid antagonist. The Narcan is available for anyone who needs it, even if there doesn’t appear to be an immediate need. Please reach out to your building leaders for information on the specific location in each building.
Thank you for your continued commitment to enhancing a culture of safety in the District.
Tim Lemke, Director of Special Education and Pupil Services & Allison Heisler, District Nurse
District Polos - Have a Question?
- If you did not get a district polo at the all staff welcome and would like one, please email julie.pitel@wfbschools.com before Friday, August 30th with your building and size. It will be sent to you in school mail.
- If you would like a different size polo than the one you received, please email julie.pitel@wfbschools.com before Friday, August 30th with your building and new size. It will be sent to you in school mail. Please send the one you'd no longer like back to Julie in the District office.
It has come to our attention that a small number of polos were manufactured incorrectly 😅 The collar and buttons are a bit off center on a small number of shirts! If your polo falls into this category, please email julie.pitel@wfbschools.com before Friday, August 30th with your building and size shirt you'd like as a replacement. It will be sent to you in school mail. Please send the wonky shirt to Julie in the District office; we need to return these to the vendor to get replacements.
Have other questions about the polos? Contact julie.pitel@wfbschools.com. Thanks!
